Alfa-Bank confirms leak of data of several dozens of clients
MOSCOW, Jul 24 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Alfa-Bank has confirmed a reported leak of data of several dozens of its clients, but their money is safe, a bank spokesperson told PRIME on Friday.
“Yes, the data, partially obsolete, of several dozens of Alfa-Bank clients are in the hands of a third-party. The bank is investigating the incident. We can say already now that judging by the format of the exposed data the leak did no originate from the bank’s internal systems,” the spokesperson said.
“The compromised data do not make it possible to get clients’ money. After an investigation we’ll notify all the clients who suffered and warn them to be cautious.”
Media reported earlier about an advertising in the Darknet on sale of a base of clients of Alfa-Bank and other lenders.
